Holders of a valid COPR may now travel to Canada

Starting today, June 21, 2021, people with a valid Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) may travel to Canada and activate their permanent resident status.

Individuals whose COPR has expired should wait until they receive a new valid COPR from IRCC.

All travelers to Canada must comply with the COVID-19 health measures and requirements upon arriving in Canada and must follow the flying to Canada requirements checklist or driving to Canada requirements checklist.
