BC PNP lifts suspension of 31 NOCS codes

After nearly 12 months, BC PNP has lifted the suspension on 31 NOC codes in tourism, hospitality, retail and personal services occupations. This news comes as a huge relief to aspiring permanent residents in the province who do not have high enough scores to apply for PR through the Federal Express Entry system.  Applicants must demonstrate that they have met, and continue to meet, all program and category requirements at the time of registration and application.

The Federal government has stated on numerous occasions throughout the pandemic that immigration will play a key role in Canada’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. It now appears that BC PNP, too, is back on track to supporting economic development through it’s role in driving immigration to the province.
