The Government of Canada launched a new International Education Strategy aiming at attracting international students from a wider diversity of countries while giving Canadian students more opportunities to study aboard to gain important international and intercultural experiences required to compete in today’s global economy and foster Canada’s long-term competitiveness.
Target countries will be adjusted regularly but include Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Morocco, Turkey, France and the Ukraine. China and India will remain important with a focus on in-country diversification.
